Founder and director of Spirit Projects, Andy Cleaver, lived in Valencia Spain for 10 years.
One of the most attractive things he found whlist there was the thriving community based around the local market and its attached cafe.
The cafe became the central hub for everything social in the local 'barrio' or neighbourhood.
Everyone knew each other and everyone supported others when they needed it.
Single people, widowers and locals were never isolated. There was always someone there to socialise with and talk to.
This is the concept of Talk Cafes.
