Case Study 1
Obeseving the Spanish Model
What do we mean by the Spanish model? In Spain every barrio or neightbourhood has a local market which is affordable and accessible for everyone in the area.
But more than this it has a cafe attached where all the locals meet and eat and drink and socialise.
Its not like the English pub where locals meet to drink and socialise. There is no emphasis on drinking alcohol. The emphasis instead is on alcohol as part of the social occasion.
There is therefore no bad behaviour, only people supporting each other throught the cycle of their lives whilst they also just happen to be eating and drinking.
This is what e want to replicate in the UK.
Case Study 2
Spirit in Oxfordshire
Spirit was trialled in Shilton Park, Carterton, Oxfordshire back in 2025.
We worked with locals to create the 'honeycombe' effect where local neighbour meetups were held in people's homes to work out issues, address concerns and generally to socialise and support each other.
We also set up a community motivator to lead the programmes.
